Download Arca for Windows
Go to privacyeverywhere.net and click Download for Windows. Arca runs on Windows 10 and 11.
Save the installer
Your browser will ask where to save the file. The default is usually your Downloads folder or Desktop — either is fine. Make a note of where you save it.
You can delete the installer file after installation is complete.
Run the installer from your browser
When the download finishes, click the installer file in your browser’s download bar — it usually appears at the top-right of the browser window. This is the quickest way to start the installation.
Or run it from your Downloads folder
Alternatively, open your Downloads folder (or wherever you saved it) and double-click Arca_setup.exe to start the installer.
Allow Windows to run the installer
Windows will ask for your permission to make changes to your device. Click Yes to continue.
Example shown — the actual Arca prompt looks similar to this.
Installation in progress
The installer will set up Arca on your computer. This usually takes under 2 minutes — up to 5 minutes on older computers with a traditional hard drive. The progress bar may pause briefly while libraries are installed — that’s normal, just wait.
In rare cases, antivirus software (Avast, Norton, McAfee) may block or interrupt installation. If this happens, temporarily turn off your antivirus — most have a “disable for 10 minutes” option — then run the installer again. Re-enable your antivirus once installation is complete.
Installation complete — set up Arca
Installation is complete. Arca will open automatically and show the setup screen. Continue with the Setting up Arca tutorial to create your keys and connect your email account.
